Canal Waterfall Indianapolis
Faith at the Crossroads is a ministry of Trinity Episcopal Church and the Diocese of Indianapolis.
Faith at the Crossroads is an intentional Christian community of service, formation, discernment and belonging for young adults in Indianapolis.
BELONGING
The world seems to be a disconnected and disordered mess. Faith at the Crossroads is a community for young adult Christians of diverse backgrounds to gather for rest, fellowship, exploration and encouragement.
DISCERNMENT
Through the lens of reconciliation, this community supports young adults in discerning how to live out an authentic and compassionate Christian faith in the midst of a regressive and divisive political and religious climate.
SERVICE
We create opportunities for young adults to participate in service opportunities through the service corps program, via outreach programs connected to Trinity Episcopal Church and the Diocese of Indianapolis, and we support young adults who are already engaged in service and justice work.
FORMATION
Through workshops, retreats, and other opportunities for engagement young adults explore the Christian traditions of contemplative practices, liberation theology, and the ministry of reconciliation. Ultimately, this community seeks to promote peace and reconciliation in the spiritual, relational, vocational, and civic lives of young adults and their communities.
Three ways to be part of the Faith at the Crossroads community, with opportunities for each group to interact in intentional and meaningful ways.
Fellows: Young adults from all around the country commit to 10 months of service through the Episcopal service corps. Fellows are placed to serve with a nonprofit agency and provided a monthly stipend, healthcare, and a robust support structure. Fellows participate in a formation program. Each Fellow is given their own room and lives in St. Benedict House, with all expenses covered.
Residents: We invite young adults (aged 21-35) to make commitments of at least two years to live in community alongside service corps Fellows in the St. Benedict House under a shared rule of life based on the 12 Habits of a Reconciler.
Neighbors: Young adults in Indianapolis and the surrounding communities are invited to come alongside the Fellows and Residents for retreats, workshops, and events such as:
Clapham Circles: monthly intergenerational liberation theology exploration group
Theology Movie: monthly movie and discussion night at the St. Benedict House
Young Adult Brunch
Seasonal Retreats
Service and outreach projects
Annual Peace and Justice Pilgrimage
